Too many people converted to perm-EB2 when EB3 retrogression hit. Also, excess EB2 RoW are not flowing to EB2-India but to EB3 instead.

....I am not sure why someone is portraying Infy or Wipro as companies that go for "Easy money..." that's completely ridiculous. Agreed they are not doing lots of so called high-end R & D projects and majority of thier revenue is still from service industry. But that does not make these companies any lesser.
I am not sure how much insight you guys got into these companies, but they are doing quite a lot of good assignments. Also, the processes they got in place & the maturity they show in execution of assignments is definitely on par with any other software services company in the world.
Probably a bunch of you folks are frustrated with these companies because the billing rates are driven down & opportunites in US (for consultants) are becoming less due to these companies' offshore model - but that does not make these companies shallow as you are trying to portray.
PS: I am not an employee with either of these companies. FOr that matter, none of these offshore-based companies. But the facts are to be accepted.

I meet many workers from these "great" companies at my workplace and see them being treated just as "low cost alternatives" and nothing else by this huge financial company in NY/NJ area. Because of their (INFY, TATA, Wipro, Satyam) "low billing rates" these guys cant afford good lifestyle. And back home in India INFY and TATA CEOs make billions and talk BIG. I've not met any TATA, Satyam guy here who is happy with their employer. They just hate their employers and always looking for a change. I wonder where they stand in terms of employee satisfaction? They treat their people like slave and send them as low cost labor. Not only that - they exploit US immigration rules and make use of L1 to keep their people long term at cliant place when they dont get enough H1.

The interview also has snippets of interview with USCIS officer as Brian Williams has interviewed USCIS over this issue also. So its a "must watch" thing.
This will be on NBC and that's good coz you dont even need cable to watch this. In your local area, the NBC channel affiliate will be broadcasting the "Nightly news" with Brian Williams.
Local times may vary depending on your local NBC affiliate. Its most likely 5:30 Central time tonight but check your local listings.

1) Try state group insurance
Texas and for that matter every state has a group insurance coverage for folks
who donot get coverage from any other insurance provider.
This is a coverage that you will get for sure, only document you will need is a written paper from insurance company that one cant be insured.
Check the state insurance board website.
2) check free clinics, these clinics will provide complete care ( you can pay them if you like)if you dont thats fine too. I suggest paying them if you can even if its a bit high, as someone who cant afford may one day get to use this service too.
3) Ask yours employer's insurance agent, group insurances gurantee insurance.
Donot worry, life works in interesting ways. As last resort one can go to home country for delivery.

A freind of mine came across a gentleman, who is here on work visa and he is facing a unique problem. He is married to two persons and wants to bring his whole family here in the USA. He was looking for answer if he can get both his spouses and kids here on H4 visas. Currently both of them and his kids are in India. Interesting hmmm :D

On one hand we have VLD Rao crunching numbers like CRAY XMP and telling that EB2 will be close to current by End of the Year . On the other hand Mapadpa now says that the movement will be slow . I am a mere mortal and i am confused to the core on what to make of it ,

Has anyone thought of the people who missed the august 17 deadline because the labor was not cleared within time. Because of no mistake from ourside, we have to suffer. What a screwed up legal situation ?

i had a GC of a priority date 01-13-2003. Then my employer was kind enough to do one more simultaneous application with a date of 11-15-2004.
The attorney we were working with at that time exchanged the I140 between apps and he screwed up big time on my 2003. So we had to withdraw both my I140 approved 2003 application and the 11-15-2004.
Then we had to go back and apply for Perm and start the process again. I spent 5K and my employer about another 5K on 3 apps so far.
if it is fate on one side it was USCIS on the other, but god was on my side, and hence i am still in this country!!!!

You are the first guy whose case was transferred to CSC and you got the FP notices. Can you shed more light as many pople, like me, are stuck with no FP notices and we all had Receipts/EAD/AP from CSC...And now the files are back to either NSC or TSC...

His case appears to be adjucated by CSC and it did not get transferred back to NSC. Probably that is why he received his FP notice.

That was a good account for those who haven't been to an Infopass. The procedure is near about the same where I usually go too.
I think that the AP info that you got is good...but the serendiptious (!) info of your and your family's NameCheck status bears good info/benefit in the longer term.
As for the 4 months thing, she is right if we go by FBI stat papers and testimonies given over the past few years; but what I find most interesting is that 7 out of the 8 people who I personally know, and who filed with me in June still have their NC pending as of this week. That does not include me whose NC is pending for past 4.5 months (since my info was sent to FBI!).
So the dataset is small but challenging. I am sure there are many like me. Wonder why I find many whose NC is pending in the 4-6 month range and very few (of the 68% - per FBI) whose have got it cleared in the so called 48-72 hours (after the info is sent to FBI) ! :confused:

I personally do not know of anyone who has attempted admission into a University with a CA.
Professors expert letters range up to $900.00+ with most firms. We rarely charge more than $550.00 Each case is different and it depends on the research needed.
In India, only UGC (University Grant Commission) is qualified to issue equivalency letters. Professor letter can be supplemental, but it can not be authentic certification, as UGC is only one to issue that.

I don�t think he will have any standing against you in court of law. If you have ur documentation strong then nothing to worry. He is just trying to give you hard time. Even if he does so take him to all levels, I am sure at the end of day you will not loose anything but he may get burned by this. File all claims like harrasment; Unethical practices to run business and more if attorney suggested doing so.Just be strong and cool ......

Dhundhun, to answer your question...no I do not intend to break the contract. I just want to protect myself from any mishap in future. By the way as I mentioned earlier, the contract is not of 12 months....its for ENDLESS time. It says that if I leave the company anytime...I will need to refund all the training costs that the company would of incurred in last 12 months.

Because of sudden influx of projects coming to India last year, there was a temporary upsurge in the demand for skilled personnel in india ....So there are many options for these people which caused the higher attrition as they have many options open....So temporarily these IT Companies used to retain highly skilled employees at any cost and kept them in front line and recruited some freshers (i have seen one company recruited freshers and charged them 50,000 ...you heard it right :0 initally with the commitment of 2 years).
As the freshers are catching up with the experienced ..i see a sharp decline in demand my area of expertise from past 6 months to an Year .... But from CEO point of view , still work is done ..with 40 % or more saving ..may be for little compromise on quality ....
I have a feeling that attrition rate may slow down in coming years .....
Any one please share your views /experiences ..
