Hi All
I just saw the USCIS GC approval email notice - EB2-I - Dec 20'th 2005 Priority Date
I have same issue as few others have. I'm not married yet. I have applied for GC and luckily the GC has been approved (when I really don't want it to be approved). ... Trust me I was praying god all the time.
My priority date is EB2-I Dec 20'th 2005 and god knows how they approved it much before every one else. When all others really want their GC's.
There are lots people who are in queue with Jan 2004 and later priority dates and whose cases are still pending... How could they approve my case so soon...
I have scheduled for a travel to India on August 15'th 2008 to get married. I wanted to marry and get my wife to USA. I 'm engaged with girl at India and all set for marriage this month (August 2008).
I believe my H1-B has been automatically canceled on immediate approval of GC.
How do I get my future wife to USA?. What are the options left out to me now?.
Please excuse me if this is a duplicate thread. I'm really in hurry and could not check all threads properly.

Akhil, can you PM the copy of the letter you sent in with your AP renewal (efile). Also what did you enter in Class of admission? how much fee did you have to pay - 305 or 385?

I wonder what our children and grandchildren will learn from all these. When they grow up and know that their parents had to go through this mess while waiting to be accepted legally for xxxx number of years and some people got the "grand reward" of being illegal for many years!! These CIRcus operators will be responsible for the loss of "very little" moral left in this country. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

here is a tip for next time, never threaten and intimidate other people and think that just because they r immigrants they r weak. law protects us all equally, and anytime u threaten, when i am around, just make sure it will have a negative affect....

I would like to know How to file a complaint about labor fraud? I just found out that my employer didn't file 485 for me and instead he used the labor for someone else. Is there anyway I can file a complaint? I have no other option except to wait until the dates are current again. I paid all the expenses for labor, 140 and 485.

The government is telling my family I am not an adequate person to form a family with in the U.S. because I was deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana, yet it is granting the 212(d)(3) Waiver for Non-Immigrant Visas to Aliens deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana and who wish to travel to the U.S.. United States Citizens need an Immigrant Visas Waiver available to their Alien Immediate Relatives deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of Marijuana in order to even the scales on both U.S. citizen and Alien immigration privileges concerning Deported Aliens with a Drug-Related Offence of More than 30 Grams of Marijuana.
The way things are now U.S. citizens without a criminal conviction and with Alien Immediate Relatives are being discriminated against by their own government. The needs of deported Aliens with criminal convictions are being placed before their own.
It�s pure hypocrisy and it�s my family�s and my name being placed on the line.
I mean, really, how great can the U.S. be if it�s willing to lose their citizens to aliens like me when they decide to move outside of the United States to join their Immediate and shunned Alien Relatives? funny that you said that...man we all go through the same things...my 3 year old is the same way...wait till yours get to be 3 year old...then they *own* that space and there is nothing you can do about it...:) i suggest you should start letting your kid sleep in a different room from now on before its too late like my case

Believe it or not I got so sick of sleeples nights (my 18 months old kid virtually rotates like a clock on bed all night long) that I had to buy a twin size sofa bed and place it next to our King Size bed. These days I am sleeping on that bed.

I applied on May18 for I-140 and will be applying to I485 soon.. and would get EAD...so what happens to EAD and AP...I cant beleive they are
waste..Probabaly people with pending I-140 will be subject to the new systems..??..what do you guys think??..Its not pratical to drive people down the Queue again..
Nothing will go th waste until this bill becomes the law. After that, you still have another year or more before the points system kicks in. It is when they start the points system (oct 2008) when they will look into this dreaded date of May 15 2007 and decide on people's fate. Until then, keep doing what you are doing.

When you go for Fedex/USPS Express they takes your Name, Current Address in a page which has Pointer to the TRACKING NO. 1 copy comes to you , 1 copy goes out with Package and 1 Copy gets saved with FEDEX/USPS.
The 3rd copy above is sufficient to straightout any "Potential Liars" :mad:
Fedex Receipt shows Sender And Addressee, name, address etc. It does not tell whose application (and what else) is inside. In reality, having Fedex receipt only proves that some package has been been delivered at USCIS, but what is inside, there is no guarantee or proof.

I've been a consultant for 5 years now, worked for 5 different clients, and was without work for just 4 days so far. If consulting companies are banned, it means that I will steal the job of one of you permanent employees.
People do hire me as a contractor and pay me big bucks for a reason. The only way I can choose what I want to do when I am still on H1b, is to work for a consulting company.
I know a lot of mediocre people, afraid of not being able to find the next contract, end up in a boring permanent job. May be they like it too.
Don't get offended. You need to see the other angles too. I showed you one.

For I-485 total expenditure as follows:
$1300- attorney fees
$300- doc fees
$200- other docs, vaccines, etc
USCIA appln fees for me & spouse for 485 765 131 ....
Lost hours at working for the medical and attorney appointments almost 24 hours * $40 = $816-
Sleepless nights filing forms & submitting on time = priceless ....
For I-485 total expenditure as follows:

My wife is using EAD . I am still on H1 and have not started using EAD. Can I still switch to a new employer with a H1 transfer ?. Or since, she is in EAD, should I do an AC21 only with EAD ?. Thanks..

Please advice if this could be an issue not having the employer letter while filling the I 485.

you would have a safe bet once you know your job title and send a new offer letter with your current employer and AC21 letter.
