On a side note, I was wondering what happens to derivative/secondary beneficiaries 485 applications if the primary beneficiary is stuck in name check.....If secondary beneficiaries are cleared and primary is not, then does USCIS approve GCs for secondary beneficiaries..

From their tone, I can tell the were trying hard to be helpful.
But, no receipt for me yet. July 2nd filer here as well.
Should I keep another set of 485 application ready, just in case if I don't hear about check cashing or receipt till august 15th ?
Is there any harm in filing the 485 again (just to be safe).... IF I don't get any indication of action on july2nd app ?

Wishful thinking - Would be nice if the court went against AZ and asked the congress and senate to resolve the issue soon through legislative action. Republicans will be against any sort of amnesty, so not a thing will happen till November, but there may be chances of piecemeal legislations to address legal immigration issues if Republicans get the majority.
I have paid over $10 K in attorney fees so far and Obama wants to legalize the illegals who broke the law by granting them amnesty and asking them to pay a "fine"? If this happened in our home country, wouldn't we all do the same and think the same as the people of Arizona? I'm in favor of AZ taking this initiative .
I agree with you on amnesty. And I usually agree with republicans on immigration law reforms. Surprisingly, they have been fair. But I dont think AZ new law falls into this republican agenda. I live in Phoenix. I can see the racist motivation behind it.
Ironically, dont forget that if there are no illegals, noone would be talking about any kind of immigration reform!

I lived in this country for 11 years. My papers are more complicated that even I get confused. And not only that, it is such a pain to carry them all the time. What if I lose them?
3) Let us say they stop an illegal. Since the illegal immigrant already broke the law once, he/she would have no problem breaking it again saying, "I am a citizen. I dont have to show you any papers!"
So what would this law achieve at that time? Just that legals would get more headache!

Will I-485 package get rejected if no employment letter attached?
While rushing to send our packages to USCIS on July2nd, we could not get our future employment letter signed and did not include in the package. But now I have the employment letter.
Experts, do you think I need re-file or wait out?

I've called several members and I am dispointed of them just saying "no.... I can't..."
But they all have time to be in the forums everyday asking for help, asking questions about dates, receipts, etc. It just doesn't make any sense that they have the chance to do something about it, they don't have "enough time for it"
But I am sure, they all complaint about how long is taking and all the money they have to invest on attorneys.

Yes you are right, there is bound to have EAD flood in market, with spouses of hi-tech worker will come to market to search hi-tech job with spouse phone support. I have seen such cases countless times in past few years and yes they will be in future without exception. However, matter of fact, these fresh EAD (previous H4) don't get the dream job in first attempt, it takes good 2 year to find a similar job that H1b hitech worker does.
But thats the realty of market, every year new jobs are added and every year new job seekers join the crowd.
On the otherside, a hitech worker is suppose to always learning something new and getting his/her position more stronger everyday, its a knowledge market, whoever knows more gets better $$. With my 7yr US exp and total 10 yrs CS exp I have no scare that any single fresh EAD will come close to me. A senior is always a senior no matter which field you talk.
But thats the realty of market, every year new jobs are added and every year new job seekers join the crowd.

And passer by drivers at Higher Speed than you. Can you point police for stopping you.
So don't tell that you are fine and everybody is fine.
What if someone here saw your postings (800+ posting guru) and travels wihtout Transit Visa and Aitport people ask for Transit Visa and missed flight--- Have to stay at Airport for hours.
Try to accept rules guys....

A lot of us can do and will do many things. Your argument does not stand ground. I dont ahave anything against this guy. I have a problem with the system that permits this activity. Because its not fair. By the way I seriously doubt this happens to people in my situation. This is typical of "desi consultant companies". So once again pontiff i dont have a grudge against this guy but the system that allows this to take place.
