What you think and suggest is your problem. I know what all i had go through to be where I am today. I did a receive a call on either occasion from the Presidents office. As a matter of fact when I wrote to the FL and the Senators office then too I received calls.
Keep you subject very precise and on the top of envelop remember to mention "Immigration Assistance". Please use ordinary mail 41 cents stamp and wait and watch.

Forgot to mention on all the instance I had sent hand written personal letters just stating traumatic situation which I am going through. Also remember this is a request which we are asking for and there is no moral obligation on their part to expedite.

Less than 800 contributions is such a shame.Assuming all the 3000 are affected by the retrogression it just doesnt make sense not to donate anything at all by the remainder of the members. People will have to understand how much of a difference it would make if everyone contributes.
Looks like the donors who have already donated have to donate all over again and that in double to make up for the deficit and to reach 150k

Remember, most people are working hard and chances are that they may get fired for jobs doing this.

A lot of people are free riders, they come to IV for informartion only. A lot of people do not want to do anything, just because someone else is doing it for them. Yes - I am not bothered. These laws are a joke. Guess, we must just laugh at them.
From what it looks like - they want to appease the PG, Numbersusa etc.. kinda groups.
It also seems to me that lawmaker's message for groups like IV etc... clear - layoff -- as you people don't vote

What works for someone may not work for us. VXG and others were lucky we are not as simple as that which does not mean that we left any stone unturned...it just doesn't work that way.....but again will keep on trying...
has anybody tried calling USCIS as the proxy applicant..I mean has anyone as a primary called USCIS for their dependent....the reason I am asking is I need to do that....I am sure there is no "sex" in the file and there is no way for them knowing that I am the primary applicant or not.

There is no need to tell lies, you can always say that you are enquiring about your spouse. The CSR makes sure that your spouse is there at that time, and talks to your spouse first before talking to you about your spouse's case.

This is pure speculation on my part, but if CIS is returning visa numbers and there are now some visas available, it seems like it would make more sense for DOS to just make the returned visas available in the August bulletin, rather than flip flop on July once again.

i called a couple of times spoke to Inf officer at NSC ,
&& she told she was not aware of cases where NSC has created rejection letters and sent them also she added they just completed june filers and will be starting to proceed with JULY .
Now reg. my processing times:
Applied Jun 30
Receipt Jul 2 9:54 : FedEx
status : On Hold ?
Checks : Not cashed Yet
She also adviced most probably i should receive some kind of communication before end of july !!

I agree with you. But the reality is you can find only 300-400 people out of 1000s to come forward for any kind of fight. Let it be contribution, send flowers or demonstration.
I don't know why but we tend to be satisfied with lsmall benefits...

when i spoke i didnt speak to normal CS rep they forwarded to me Info officer at Nebraska service center , now the key point is they clearly informed us that they have withdrawn the earlier notice and they said they have to open these july files. If they have just completed june filings they wouldnt have even touched july ones for sure. May be the ones returned which are very small in number are for casing whose dates are not current . for ex. if some one has sent app in normal pririty post expecting to reach on july 2 but reached early and got rejected it happened. so its pretty clear none of us have got the files back , all of three attorneys to comp said the same , my friends attorneys said the same , so we dont get in to too many things now , lets wait till next week or around 25th if we still dont receive then they asked me call back so that they can escalate this , she claims even when they reject they have to create a rejection letter and she clearly told that she was not aware that NSC did that type for these July ones.

2 i-140's approved with same company, both are EB2, one is RIR one is PERM.
PERM one had Jan 2006 PD where my RIR had Nov 2004.
I-485 was applied using Nov 2004. USCIS may be looking at other one and thinking PD is not current. What a mess.

I think its a typo too No. It's not a typo. I had met Aman in a conference in December. He was talking about selling his house to contribute to IV (I really hope he didn't have to). But he has contributed a small fortune to this effort.

immigrationportal has reported only 2 cases of rejection for july 2nd filer. Their package returned back and received by party(around july 10th), per forum there.

From Greg's yesterday's latest response that there were very few which were returned/rejected on July 2nd itself and this thread proves that we are not alone ...there are so many and status is unknown. Matthew Oh is also suggesting that it will be receipted. I think we are all safe and with time we will get receipt. Nobody...none of the attorney's are suggesting refiling. Now the thought that whether my packet was properly filed or not? I think that will always be there in the back of one's mind but if the attorney has done his/her job correctly I think we should not worry. Its not rocket science and documents required for filing are well known...so I would discount this risk. It appears we are all safe because as we all know that no rejection notices have been generated, packets if returned should have come back by now as per Greg....All in all it all points towards our packets being on hold there at respective centers....but as you rightly pointed out..towards the last week of July keep calling centers to know..but even before that keep eye on check clearing as that by far is the best and earliest clue that all is well with the case.
