Isn't it part of her job? There is nothing like being servant. Moreover, it was just asked to rinse the bottle with hot water, to be sure it is hygenic, in a circumstances when baby was making tantrums. Another reason for asking was because bathrooms were full, otherwise there wouldn't have been a need. We have travelled many other airlines, and there was never an issue for such requests. Many airlines go extra mile to please you. It is what is called customer service.

Thanks for you encouraging email. My senator's rep. said that my case was assigned to an IO on Sep 21st. Are you sure that it takes 10-30 days(only) once the app is with an IO? May I know how are you so sure about this? Did any NCS rep tell you this time-frame? I only hope what you said comes true.
Also, I have sent 7001 late last week. Is there a # to contact obmudsman's?

Let all the members who are here in USA for more than 9 years without a green card unite and make this as an ACTION ITEM for IV Core to consider this. Others who like this idea are most welcome to support this.

One way "in which we can get more people involved on IV" is to remove some of the barriers to such participation. And the infamous red/green thingie comes to my mind.
Any updates on when IV is going to get rid of the red/green dot thingie?
Counting time after I140 approval towards citizenship proposal is already on our table for things to consider as a campaign. For Campaigns like this, we will need massive support than what we currently have. Even recent greencard holders can benefit from it.
So the first step before we undertake any big project is to get more membership base.
So let us first figure out ways in which we can get more people involved on IV. Without massive participation no campaign, letter/lobby/phonecall etc will work. We need to really go out of our way and spread the word around so that everyone that is stuck in this immigration mess can join this movement.

I called up to find that my application is still not in the system. Surprisingly, the IO would not put the phone down and keeps on chatting to enlighten me. Seem to have lot of time on hand.
1. My application is most likely transfered to texas since my I-140 was approved there
2. FIFO is valid only if the application is not transfered. Once it is transfered, the receiving center will take the date 'they' received to put in queue for data entry. If your application took continental US tour, more delay.
3. He is asnwering 5-6 calls every day from July 2 filers. There are several of them. So plenty of July 2 apps still waiting to be entered.
4. The application is not rejected for sure, since even a rejection would be entered into the system.
5. he cannot raise a service request without receipt number.
I sent mail to USCIS withe fedex scanned signature, wrote to Senator. Its frustrating.
The bottom line is there is no bottomline, except to wait.

This may not be a big change. These laws made more sense when they had less or no wait to get into the country for Perm residency and then wait long enough (5 Years) to understand how this country works, before getting a citizenship.
With the change in the cirumstances, it is not case anymore. Most of the people waiting for GC are much better of with the way things work in this country. So we are basically not challenging the law but the interpretation.
More over If CIR can promise a path to citizenship for illegals, I don't know why not this can be done for legals.

what is the meaning of staff augmentation case? He work at client place and client is administered project.The s/w tool is copyright by client.The reason for asking him to come back is that prior to this company he worked for another company for two years. He left his old company before 5 year. when he joined his current company he has provided all the document mentioned in checklist such as offer letter, exp and releiving letter and last two month pay stub and they did BG for same document.During 5 years career he worked for diff client and everytime they did BG for him before putting him in project and there was no problem happen in his BG. recently his current employer find something wrong about his prior company and they asked him to provide more evidance for prior company.now he don't have any contact of his prior employer and he does not have any more evidnace for showing their company.
Because of this reason they are asking him to come back home country from last two week.He told his company that he tryed to connect his prior employer but he can not make out and he don't have anything more to show the company.
Please suggest what he can do in this situation.
If anyone come across in this situation then please reply to my question.

The way I look at your story is that you want to get back at your company in some way. You were employed as L1 by your company all this while and you did not care about fraud at that time ? You were enjoying the benefits so you did not care. Now since your company is going to send you back to India anyways, you want to do everything possible to get them in trouble.
I dont support fraud in any way and I do think such companies should be punished. But you dont have my sympathy either since you think fraud is ok as long as you are benefitting from it.

That's good news APB.
I guess it may either be the SR that I opened for my wife or the letter I wrote to Napolitano...my wife got a call from a CSR from DC and she told that her case is pending because of the Biometrics, she said she is issuing new biometrics...the speaker phone was on...and I interjected...how come I got approved w/o the Biometrics...she was clueless...I told her how many times can Biometrics notice be issued...my attorney called TSC on 10th of Sept and that time a notice was issued which we never received and then again two weeks later someone else issued another notice.....then someone else told that Biom is fine it just needs uploading and it has been two weeks since then the only thing that is happening is the Visas getting used up .....I said what's the point of FP/Biom if visas are no longer available which surely will be the case in 3 weeks....
In any case didn't expect a phone call from them so was surprised.

I was looking at all your posts and i can tell you how hard your trying to get your Wife's GC..Good Job Dude keep it up..i feel like you are fighting with USCIS to get GC...I am in a similar situtaion like you do but not same..i think my case has not been approved because of my wife's FP's was not able to read by FBI (she gave FP's 3 time in May) and never sent to USCIS by FBI..can you tell me how to escalate this issue to Napolitano or any other USCIS officals...:mad:

This is 2008.. Both JE and MBA are thinking that they will get their GC in 2009...
Meanwhile they start arguing.. and many like them join their verbal-struggle..
Because of this, IV community is divided.. Earlier only 200 people used to respond to action items .. now because of the rift only 100 do... this weakens the momentum that the campaign had..
Meanwhile, NumbersUSA et all increased their efforts..
Anti-immigration forces are united and under their pressure all the EB relief bills fail...
Election is close USCIS shifts the focus to FB visas..
EB backlog, retrogression goes up..
JE and MBA still fighting their verbal fight... in same line.. still fighting with words... with few more years added to their wait-time.

You (or people like you) are not "fighting" corruption or injustice, you are just serving your interests. Al least have the guts to admit that.
When did you guys start fighting corruption, injustice and fraud ? Maybe you guys were always excited about Mahatma Gandhi or Mother Teresa all your life ! Be straightforward. There are no kindergarten students on this forum. We all know your intentions.
Again we all know outsourcing is going to hurt everyone. That doesn't mean I will try to shut the doors behind me. Many of us were not brought up that way.
Of course yes its for our interest BUT don't forget that its against a violation. Tomorrow if the same organization brings resources in H-1B/EAD/GC/Citizenship we are not going to complain about it ... because its within whats allowed by the law, I think thats the purpose of having rules ... to have a fair playing ground ... think abt the havoc/chaos these companies could create by bringing people without any visa (illegally across borders) and talk about 'closing the doors and me not brought up that way', do you think that anyone including you would support that???. Here the purpose of L-1B visa is misused and blindly violated, so lets move in the right direction, we are not asking all L-1B visas to be banned BUT to investigate the abusal of that visa category and we are just pointing out the incidents where we think its getting violated. If they were submitted on 8/30/ and it's not cleared yet and your derivatives are cleared then more than likely you are stucked, there is some probability that you might be cleared in few weeks depending on number of hits generated against your name and avaialibility of the documents needed to be refered by fbi to clear you. However you dont need to worry much because now a days fbi seems to getting work lot faster then it used to. Also since july fbi has increased the fees that they charge USCIS to do the check which has increased the staff at NNCP and so the efficiency. I would suggest for you to wait 60 days and try again. Hopefully you have good news. I have been waiting 35 months.

The EAD says “The person identified is authorized to work in the US for the validity of this card” where as the GC says “The person identified by the card is authorized to work and remain in the US”.
So why does the legal department come into picture here? Is it because of the expiry date associated with EAD’s? If that’s the case even a GC has got an expiration date (a later date maybe). Does that mean that an additional budget is required to hire GC holders?

We rode the same wave even last year with many of the same Guru;s predicting the same movement to 2007 and what we saw 2 weeks movement .
I do not remember the predictions of last year but the fact is , last year it jumped from Jan 2005 (in Feb/March) to May 2006 (in September). That definitely is a BIG movement.
