This is by no means Gandhigiri. Most of the other messages are negative too.
I wonder what this is going to fetch. Plus the idea that USCIS is going to call up CNN once they receive 50 flower bouquets is hard to believe, unless CNN goes flower-sniffing ;-) at government offices regularly.

I would say if you are getting a good opportunity, do not loose it for the sake of September Visa bulletin. Do not send the AC21 documents to USCIS. If RFE comes, you can respond quickly by hoping that they will approve your case at the same time. In case, if you don't get RFE (chances are more), you might get GC right away.

Please try to read law carefully. The law will not have simple terms as you think. They have to draft the law in the language of the act. Any way the meaning is same.
The law explicitly say that the 7% country limit does not apply to the EB1, EB2, EB3, EB4, EB5 catagories, if excess visas available in those catagories.

when we had options to donate $20, a large number of members came out with the same argument for reducing it to $10!
meanwhile the check option usually allows flexibility and is temporarily down for some circumstances beyond immediate control. it will be back though.
Yes, I first thought to send a check and I remember As*** specifically instructed me the last time about what you have just mentioned and so I wanted to use paypal but I do not have that option under paypal (< 100). Anyway I will wait then.

Hello everybody,
I'm a new member and i joined this forum today because i'm stuck in a knot. I am a Master's Student and i'll be graduating this May 2007. I have applied for my OPT which will start from 04 Jun 2007 and will end by 04june 2008. Now the next day after i sent my OPT forms to the immigration i read the news about the H1 general quota being filled already on the first day. I am really confused now.
Here is where i need your help, any prediction or idea when the Master's quota would be filled this year? Is there any way (website or something) that we can keep trck of the number of H1 application vacancies available in the Master's quota.?? Till what date so you think i should have a company file my H1 if i have to get into the MAster's quota this year?
These are the three questions that i seek the answers for...

Yup. Make a group, pool the contributions. One member collects the money after making $100 pay pal, google contribution. This concept can be extended to $200 , $500 too, if you can form big enough groups.

I became an IV memeber few days back during May 2007 and actually became active sometime around June 10th 2007. Within this short timeframe - IV core and its great (mostly :)) members have given me so much knowledge, confidence that i filed my 485 on my own during July 2nd - I just cant believe that i did that !!!
Now its July 17th its the same IV who made USCIS accept all those hard earned documents .... Yes - I'm that guy who was forced to sign a $10,000 bond for getting Future employment letter.
"No bond, no employment letter - show me what you got" - I was thrown this challenge straight on the face. Now once i get EAD its my turn to show them what i got.

I didnot started this thread not blame anyone. Everyone knows IV is our only hope....sorry if it hurt someone.
All I wanted convey is that the current visa bulletin is an opportunity (just like jul 07), IV should try to take advantage of it. They made a mistake by putting in writing that USCIS can not estimate, lets use it to our full advantage.
Lesser mortals like myself can not do much...but surely IV core can.

But lets say it happens then shouldn't they go to the end of the line
Is that not the same logic used by EB2 against EB3 Porters ?
What ever your logic the fact is currently F1 is NOT and immigrant intent visa and hence there is fraud currently. Now what happens in future is not deterministic but what is happening now is plain to see
You should complain about this to USCIS

some members have been doing that
Good progress- the drought for contributions to iv is hopefully over,
but we are not there yet. We need EVERY active member to contribute at least $20, remember there are not that many active people here.
It's very encouraging to see that some of the contributions are from recent members. Maybe pappu can let us know at some point how much this campaign has collected so far.
If you are reading this and still watching from the sidelines: please join us. Contribute and add members. IF we are ALL involved, success will come. it's just a matter of time and patience.
