Stoppers idea is brilliant and should be done on a big scale. It will convey a strong message and will be in news.
These are my predictions if we do this stopper thing
1) People will try to know what this whole thing is about. ( So we should have the stage set for the propaganda to tell americans that they will lose big if we go home)
2) This could have a negative impact of drawing more anti-immigrant crowd which want us to leave no matter what. ( For a common american jobs for his himself and family is more important than what we are trying to say)
3) Stopper companies would get some free publicity ( Maybe some company is out there to sponsor this)
In my opinion this would not help much like the flower campaign. But there is no harm in trying.

US economy is designed this way, everyone will get their own share. No one bothers about optimizing the chain and reducing the cost. If they do that whole economy will collapse. If people started sticking to one marriage and stop taking the divorces, these lawyers will not have work and that portion of economy will collapse. If you have time please watch this video

I cannot even switch to my client since I have signed a non-compete agreement..... I think direct marketing is the best way to augment your rates....

I agree with most. We should not expect major "Forward" movement in dates until the 3rd & the 4th quarter of USCIS' fiscal year! Until then we might as well keep the prediction threads to the minimum.

Hi,
Here is my situation. I can apply for I-485 since my labor(PD - Mar 05) has cleared and I-140 has been filed.
But, I have a fiancee and we are getting married in September 2007. She is on H1-B but currently traveling in India.
We cannot get married before September 2007, so, as far as I understand, I cannot add her into my AOS filing right now. And, as far as I understand they are gonna retrogress the dates to oblivion after August 17, 2007.
1. So, my question is, would she have to wait until my priority date become current again before she can add herself into my AOS application?
2. Let's say the answer for question 1 is YES. What happens if due to whatever reason, my I-140 gets approved BEFORE my priority date becomes current, so, in that scenario I wouldn't have been able to apply for her AOS anyway? Then, what are our options?
3. Let's say the answer for question 1 is NO. Then, is there a special processing I need to do to add her since my priority dates will not be current anytime soon because of the retrogression?
Please remember, she DOES carry H1-B on her own.

How do you think the passage of the DREAM ACT could impact our situation ? If they pass this, they would allay a sizeable portion of illegal immigrants to get amnesty through their children (few millions). I am just wondering whether the illegal alien supporters would lose steam to support CIR after this ? Ironically, they would get a sizeable amnesty, overhelm USCIS with millions of applicants and probably make the passage of a CIR bill more distant. I can't think of something less advantageous to us than this. I hope I am totally wrong.
What do you guys think ?

The ensuing two-year term, many believe, may be ripe for some sort of comprehensive immigration reform. President George W. Bush has been espousing all along the cause for comprehensive reform in this area. Most people recognize that there are immigration problems and governmental delays that exist. Most also believe that the system needs to be changed for the better. But just how this should be accomplished is not so easily agreed upon, and so it is a hot-button issue. Many of the hardliners, who took a strong anti-immigration position, lost the recent elections. But there are some who took this stance and won. It also is widely believed that many of the newly elected Democrats expressed anti-immigrant sentiments in their campaigns. Achieving any strong pro-immigration measures may prove to be more daunting than originally was anticipated; certainly more than many hoped it would be. Needless to say, we can expect 2007 to mark the beginning of a time for change and flux in the arena of U.S. immigration law. There is a possibility the DREAM Act could be passed, allowing the children of undocumented immigrants (who complete their high school educations in the United States) to obtain conditional "green card" status if they enroll in college or join the U.S. armed services. Both the Democratic and Republican parties seem inclined to help children. There are individuals, however, who are not willing to give any benefits to children of undocumented immigrants. When law abiding persons are prevented from gun ownership; crime goes up. Because whether it is legal or not, criminals always have guns.
Actually very true. I for one have held off on buying a gun (though my wife highly disapproves of guns) simply because I dont have a GC and dont want any hassles. Besides I live in Chicago which has a ban on guns. Ironic that the maximum killings and drive by shootings happen maybe 30-40 blocks from where I live but the city doesnt allow legal law-abiding residents to own guns.

Ronhia, I appreciate your comments. It needs conviction, dedication and consistent efforts to make such accomplishments. Moreover it also demonstrates the character of a person, who can motivate and inspire other kids in a positive way.. especially in an environment full of negative distractions.
If spelling bee competition is considered merely as just cramming the dictionary, as you rightly said we need to really spend some time looking beyond your own shell.
When you open a magazine, for sure, you tend to come across pages that may not be of interest to you. We skip the page and move on rather whining with words (yucky, stupid, senseless) that are inappropriate.
"Winning a national competition is not so great"... again it depends on what is so great to you !!!..
