Hello:
I am working on EAD for company B. Company B filed H1 transfer for me before May 2007. I heard that You can transfer you H1 and EAD both with new company but I did not aware about this rule, I started working on EAD. Is it possible to go back on H1 which company B filed? I have not yet used AP for travelling abroad.

I really dont know how this "reputation" system works. But some poor frustrated person out there (I have a guess who that is :) ) just left me this comment on my post

With this attitude, we will all be stuck in the crab-pot for ever. Lets be positive and try to accomplish something rather than just be grumpy negative people like ahem...cough!! cough!! - someone on this thread. Lets debate things openly and see how that goes. Cowards rarely win anything more than a battle or two - never the whole war.
I started visiting this forum only recently. From what I have seen briefly, I can say that the actual contributions in terms of effort seem to be coming from members like Pappu. And I really appreciate that. I see people here and there saying that IV isn't doing anything useful etc.
My point to such people would be - no one is stopping you from organizing a rally or doing a hunger strike or whatever it is you have in mind. Lead, and we shall follow. These efforts that are being led by IV core leadership doesnt detract from whatever you want to do.
Dont take this the wrong way. From what I have seen in my very brief history of following these forums, this is one of the few immigration forums out there that is not driven by ulterior motives - lawyers' interests etc. Please, please, as a favor, do not drag this effort down. I understand many of us are frustrated, but let not the frustration drag us down deeper into the hole. For people who don't agree with the policies here, put forth some constructive suggestions and see how that works. If it doesn't work, well you have realized how tough it is to get a group of people follow your conviction :) And then you might develop an appreciation for the work being done here.
And if your approach works, hey..excellent for all of us. But please don't put forth only negative criticism.

Just curious. Why do you claim ROW is receiving preferential treatment over India when all the countries get the same upper limit of the visas. Now if the Indians ask for more visas just because there are more Indians asking for green cards, wouldn't that be preferential treatment? :)
Quota system treats everybody anything but "equal". And this is not just the question of equality, because I am sure you agree that we are equals. It is the question of PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT. You are in the category getting preferential treatment, so you oppose any change, you "create" arguements that you were "promised" a system when you came, and thus any change to the system, before you get your green card would be WRONG and UNFAIR. So you should continue to get that PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT. And PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT to you is NOT WRONG AND UNFAIR. Right?
BTW, hope you liked the You tube video, Frank is really good. I do not want you to go, so that's why I posted the video. Hope it helped you to stick around. Now don't say you have the right to watch it 5 times and I can watch it only once because I am from India and you are ROW :D

In any system if you club large group of applicants based on a dichotomy, and say you will get lesser share than the rest, isn't that how you describe preferential treatment ? Is there any other way to describe the current country-quota system?

What would be so different between the two, in terms of social contribution to the US, that the 'diversity' rule makes an actual difference? Again what is the great benefit achieved by making it easier for one group to get a GC over the other? You can even think of other examples too.
I dont' want to start off a culture war here by making controversial statements, but try to understand the core of what I'm trying to say. That is, there is no perceivable difference between you and I, at least in terms of employability, that this diversity concept can make a meaningful benefit out of.
In fact it probably makes much more economical sense to have quotas based on the subject's political or scientific inclination rather than national origin! In today's connected world, nationality has no meaning.

Called all 6 rep's offices plus my local north carolina 4th district rep David Price.
Everyone note down the bill numbers and said that they will pass on the message.. Mary Bono's office asked to call local rep office, which i did before..
Some of them were very nice and asked the address and name and all, whereas some of them just got the bill numbers and were eager to hang up the phone..
....Apart from contributing during the funding drive.. this is my first action to call reps...Felt great and encourage everyone else to give it a try....Try calling just one of them and you will feel the urge to call all of them and do your part...

Most of the people still survive and overcome the restrictions and stay here. Still Indian IT depends on US market. No country come to the level of US yet in technology. Companies will easily find a way for all those. Impact is not for country or Corporations but for future H1b aspirants
